T. Rowe Price has appointed Nicholas Tong, CFA, as head of Southeast Asia intermediary distribution, effective October 9. Based in Singapore, Tong will engage with clients across the region to serve the growing demand for actively managed and forward-thinking investment products.
Tong has a decade of experience working closely with financial intermediaries in Southeast Asia, most recently with Wellington Management where he was a vice-president responsible for developing business with strategic private and retail banking clients in Singapore. Previously, he held distribution roles at UBS Asset Management, Pimco, and M&G Investments.
T. Rowe Price has US$1.4 trillion of assets under management. As of September 30, the firm has a total of 22 funds recognized by the Monetary Authority of Singapore for sale to local retail investors.
