BNY Mellon has appointed Nelius De Groot as head of markets and execution services for Asia-Pacific, effective immediately. Based in Singapore, De Groot will lead the growth strategy and direction of the bank’s markets and execution services business in the region.
Commenting on De Groot’s appointment, Adam Vos, global head of markets and execution services, says: “His impressive track record of building and expanding businesses, along with his focus on product and technology innovation and execution, will be instrumental as we continue to deliver market-leading solutions to clients across the region.”
De Groot has more than 30 years of experience in capital markets and transaction banking, previously holding senior leadership roles with Standard Chartered Bank, Deutsche Bank and other major global institutions in London, New York and Singapore. He has deep expertise across trading, client coverage, business development, technology and operations.
