Tyler McElhaney has 20 years of international corporate, financial experience
The Asset   8 Jan 2025

Global financial services provider Apex Group has named Tyler McElhaney as its new country head of Vietnam, while launching a new country office in Ho Chi Minh City – Apex Vietnam.

The company says this move underscores its long-term commitment to Vietnam and, more broadly, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations ( Asean ) region.

Apex Vietnam, which is licensed by the Vietnam’s Department of Planning and Investment, will provide a full range of innovative financial services, products and solutions, including market entry advisory, compliance and accounting, and environmental, social and governance-related solutions.

Apex Group has much experience within the market, having served Vietnamese corporate and private clients from offices globally, the company notes, and growth has been driven by increased demand from existing and new clients for its single-source solution onshore in Vietnam.

McElhaney, who will lead a team of corporate and financial services professionals, has over 20 years of international experience, having lived in the US, China, Singapore, Hong Kong, Qatar and Vietnam. Prior to joining Apex, he was CEO of a regulated asset management firm while also serving as the general partner of an US$1 billion impact-based investment fund focused on infrastructure in Africa and Southeast Asia.

“McElhaney’s appointment represents a key milestone in our expansion across Asia-Pacific,” says Valerie Mantot Groene, Apex Group’s head of Asean. “The Vietnamese economy is expected to grow by more than 6.5% in 2025, and we want to grow alongside the country, providing best global practices to the local market. We look forward to McElhaney leading this new team and driving execution.”
